Hyperliquid Revises Testnet Action Priority and Adds Agent-Signed cDeposit2

Hyperliquid tightened how testnet actions fight for priority and added an agent-signed staking-deposit path, per the venue’s API Announcements channel and matching exchange-endpoint docs. Tape cut: this is a testnet ops change after user feedback on earlier priority experiments — not a mainnet fee cut and not a claim that perpetuals volume already moved. The same note adds cDeposit2, described as like cDeposit but able to be agent-signed, with the docs section titled deposit into staking (agent).

Under the revised priority rules, noop and scheduleCancel (announcement text also says scheduledCancel) no longer drag other actions’ priority while they sit uncommitted. Actions other than noop, scheduleCancel, cancel, cancelByCloid, order, modify, and batchModify still cause all actions to be deprioritized until that heavier action commits. In plain desk language: cancels and order-path traffic keep their protected lane; keepalive / cancel-schedule noise stops starving the book; everything else that used to sit in the “heavy” bucket still can.

The new cDeposit2 action is documented beside classic cDeposit on Hyperliquid’s exchange endpoint. Classic cDeposit deposits into staking and takes a hyperliquidChain field (Mainnet or Testnet). cDeposit2 is listed as similar but agent-signed, with an action object that includes type: cDeposit2 and a wei amount. That matters for bots and API wallets already approved as agents: staking deposits can follow the same agent-signature path other agent actions use, instead of forcing a master-key deposit every time. Attribute capability to the published docs — do not invent deposit caps, reward rates, or a mainnet flip date from this testnet note. Builders should still honor existing approveAgent limits (unnamed and named agent wallets, optional valid_until expiry) when wiring the new deposit type.

For Ape Index readers who already trade Hyperliquid perps and RWA tape, priority rules are the difference between a cancel landing and a stale order eating adverse fill during bursts. Protecting cancel / order / modify paths while demoting other action types is the same class of market-microstructure tweak desks watch on CEXs — here it is stated for testnet after feedback on the prior priority experiment. Agent-signed cDeposit2 sits next to other agent helpers already in the docs (including agent asset sends and agent abstraction setters): it is plumbing for automated staking deposits, not a new listed perp.

Desk hygiene: wraps from TokenPost and TechFlow timed the announcement to October 25; treat those as secondary clocks and verify against the API channel plus the live GitBook exchange-endpoint pages before wiring bots. Hyperliquid has not, in this note, published mainnet effective height, fee changes, or a claim that staking APY moved. Prior 8bitcrypto Hyperliquid chapters (RWA perp share, policy asks) stay separate — this post is only the testnet priority + cDeposit2 beat. If you run market-making or liquidation bots on testnet, re-check action latency after the priority tweak and confirm agent wallets can sign cDeposit2 before dropping master-key deposit flows.

Tape watch: Watch whether the seven protected action types stay the exempt set when Hyperliquid next mentions mainnet priority, and whether agent dashboards start exposing cDeposit2 wei deposits beside classic cDeposit. Until a mainnet note lands, treat today’s change as testnet-only microstructure — verify fills and deposit receipts on testnet before assuming production bots can drop master-key staking deposits.

Bottom line: Hyperliquid revised testnet action-priority rules so noop and scheduleCancel no longer deprioritize other traffic, and added agent-signed cDeposit2 staking deposits beside classic cDeposit.
