Rare Friends NFT pets on Robinhood Chain show a 3,200 USDG Genesis floor after free mint

Rare Friends, a virtual-pet NFT protocol on Robinhood Chain from Doodles co-founder Poopie, is drawing GameFi desks after a September 20 AirdropAlert walkthrough of the mint, token auction, and protocol dashboard. Genesis is capped at 1,024 NFTs, minted free through a whitelist the blog puts near 33,000 wallets. The remaining 48 first-come-first-served slots never went public—the team argued bots would have swept them in one block—and that leftover supply is converted into tokens and burned into Generations instead. Missed whitelist wallets received an airdropped Gen-5 Rare Friend. Attribute those mint mechanics to the project as relayed by AirdropAlert; this is not a rehash of PlayKindra’s browser RPG already on 8bitcrypto.

The token side diverged from the NFT tape. AirdropAlert says $RAREFRIENDS launched via a fair-launch auction, touched about an $18 million market cap on day one, then cooled to roughly $2.5 million at the time of writing. Genesis floor sat near 3,200 USDG, up more than 40% in a day, with about 2.3 million USDG traded. Only 70 of 1,024 Genesis were listed—under 7% of supply—across 407 unique owners. Treat those prints as the blog’s market snapshot, not an exchange official close.

Mechanically, each character carries an embedded wallet and fully on-chain visuals with Solidity animations, so activated Genesis collect fees rather than sitting as static art. Activating a Genesis spends $RAREFRIENDS and carries a 2.00x reward weight; transferring it resets activation. Generations are expandable: temporary ones appear from token balance, and “hardwiring” spends tokens to mint a permanent, transferable NFT with its own wallet. A one-way conversion sends a Genesis to the reserve for 100,000 RF upfront and returns 1,000,000 RF. AirdropAlert says the genesis vault already holds 360 converted pieces, leaving about 664 in circulation barely a week after mint.

Rewards are fee-funded, not treasury emissions. Protocol action fees pay RF rewards; AMM fees pay WETH; allocated rewards stream over seven days to active positions by weight. The team announced 39 ETH as the week-one reward, with the next week funded by fees accrued over the following seven days. The dashboard snapshot AirdropAlert cites shows 13,943 Friends playing—481 activated Genesis and 13,462 Generations—with $34,680 paid this week and another $373,492 in RF and WETH streaming or awaiting allocation. The same screen displays an annualized APY near 5,952% on RF paid to activate; the blog itself warns that figure is a week-one artifact that compresses as more Friends share the pool. Do not treat that APY as a sustainable yield.

Founder alignment, as stated by Poopie via the write-up: no mint proceeds, secondary-sale fees (including a 5% cut) flow back to holders, and his stated incentive is 64 NFTs he minted himself. He has also talked about physical Tamagotchi-style devices that would hold Rare Friends and burn tokens as he hardwires them. A separate caution belongs in the same paragraph: AirdropAlert says a typosquatted clone site already drained wallets via a fake whitelist signature, and the team says the contract address only comes from the official Rare Friends account and site. Verify the URL before connecting a wallet.

GameFi desks should keep Rare Friends distinct from Kindra’s Telegram Mini App and PlayKindra’s browser RPG, both already logged on Robinhood Chain. Confirm Genesis cap, vault conversion counts, fee-stream design, and dashboard totals against the official site and the September 20 AirdropAlert piece before trading the $18 million day-one token print or the 3,200 USDG floor as lasting marks. Attribute all figures in this article to that blog’s reading of the protocol dashboard and project statements.
