Securitize Plans Stellar Integration for Tokenized Assets at Meridian 2026

Securitize (NYSE: SECZ) said Wednesday it plans to integrate with the Stellar network so institutional asset managers can issue, manage, and transfer regulated tokenized financial products on that chain. The company framed the move as an expansion of blockchain options for clients already using its tokenization stack, not as a finished product launch. The announcement landed with Meridian 2026, the Stellar Development Foundation’s annual conference in Lisbon, Portugal. Securitize’s PR Newswire release and CoinDesk’s same-day coverage both treat Stellar as a planned addition to rails the firm already runs beside Ethereum, Solana, and Avalanche. CoinDesk’s business desk also noted Securitize is known for issuing and managing BlackRock’s BUIDL tokenized money-market fund.

Stellar would become the 17th blockchain Securitize supports once the work is complete, according to secondary wires summarizing the Meridian briefing. Securitize did not publish a completion date, did not name a launch partner for the first Stellar-native security, and said additional details about assets supported through the integration will be announced as they become available. Its forward-looking disclosures warn that implementation could be delayed, changed, or left incomplete for technical, regulatory, or commercial reasons. That is the utility gap the RWA desk cares about: a multichain press line is not the same thing as a live fund share on a new ledger.

Co-founder and CEO Carlos Domingo said Stellar has built the fourth-largest ecosystem for tokenized real-world assets, citing distributed tokenized RWA value reported by rwa.xyz as of October 22, 2026, with the usual caveat that rankings move. “We’re excited to integrate with the Stellar network and bring Securitize’s regulated infrastructure to an ecosystem that is already helping drive the adoption of tokenized financial products,” Domingo said in the company statement. Denelle Dixon, CEO and executive director of the Stellar Development Foundation, said Securitize has helped establish tokenization as a practical solution for major financial institutions and that the two sides want to expand infrastructure for the next generation of tokenized products on Stellar.

Stellar’s pitch to regulated issuers centers on configurable compliance controls. Network assets can be fully decentralized or set up for know-your-customer checks, clawbacks, and sanctions enforcement — tools an issuer can use when a court order, fraud review, or blacklist hit requires freezing or reclaiming a token. The same messaging highlights fast settlement and institutional-scale asset movement. Existing Stellar activity the firms point to includes Franklin Templeton’s tokenized money market fund on the network and MoneyGram moving money across it daily. Those examples are Stellar ecosystem proof points; they are not Securitize products migrating onto Stellar today.

Securitize reported approximately $5 billion in tokenized securities on its platform as of September 30, 2026. That AUM figure covers the firm’s existing multichain book — not assets already issued through a finished Stellar connection. Named institutional relationships in the about block include Apollo, BlackRock, BNY, Hamilton Lane, KKR, VanEck, and others. Securitize also says it operates regulated digital-securities infrastructure in both the U.S. and EU and listed a July New York Stock Exchange listing under the SECZ ticker as part of its public-company path; CoinDesk’s Meridian wrap treated the Stellar add as another chapter in institutional tokenization gathering steam rather than a same-day tape event tied to a specific new fund share.

For collectors and NFT desks watching RWA rails, the practical question is whether Stellar becomes another venue where regulated fund tokens, equity wrappers, or credit products can settle with the same issuer tooling Securitize already sells on Ethereum-class and Solana-class stacks. A clawback-capable ledger can matter when secondary trading meets securities law. It can also matter when stablecoin and payments flows already concentrate on Stellar and asset managers want distribution beside those rails. Until Securitize names a first Stellar security, a target go-live window, and a manager who will actually mint there, the story remains infrastructure optionality — useful, but still pending.

CoinDesk’s reporting from Meridian disclosed that Stellar paid for the reporter’s travel to the conference; treat that disclosure as context for how the room was covered, not as a substitute for the primary PR text. Prefer Securitize’s dated release, the SDF quote block, and the explicit “details to come” line over secondary claims that existing BUIDL or equity tokens have already moved onto Stellar. Prior 8bitcrypto Securitize coverage tracked different chains and partners — KB Securities with Optimism, ARK Venture on Ethereum, and Solana stock tokens — so this Meridian beat is a new network add, not a rehash of those product LNs.

Utility check: The Stellar integration is planned, not live — no completion date, no named first product, and no confirmed asset-manager mint on Stellar yet — so treat Meridian as an infrastructure optionality headline until Securitize posts a dated go-live with an identifiable security settling on-chain.

Bottom line: Securitize plans to add Stellar as a supported chain for tokenized securities issuance and management, unveiled at Meridian 2026 without a product timetable.
