Soneium and DayOneDream partner via WAVIST to tokenize K-pop IP onchain

Soneium and K-content group DayOneDream are pairing up to push K-pop intellectual property onchain as tokenized assets. A September 29, 2026 Chainwire release carried by CryptoBriefing says the deal runs through WAVIST, DayOneDream’s K-pop IP tokenization platform, on Soneium infrastructure built with Sony Group and Startale roots. The companies framed the pitch at Tokenizing K-Pop: WAVIST Night during Korea Blockchain Week 2026 in Seoul—same week BAYC’s Seongsu pop-up is opening for KBW culture traffic (10260). This is unused Real-World Utility tape, not a silent edit of prior RWA covers.

What the partnership actually claims. DayOneDream brings entertainment IP and commercial pipelines—management and live businesses tied to acts such as BTOB, LEE CHAE YEON, MEMI, and 2F in secondary write-ups—while WAVIST is the issuance surface meant to connect that IP to regulated financial rails. Soneium supplies the chain layer. Both sides say they will keep bringing tokenized K-content assets and associated revenue streams onchain for eligible users, “subject to applicable regulatory and eligibility requirements.” That line is the compliance gate: this is not an open NFT drop for anyone with a wallet.

The one hard receipt behind the marketing. WAVIST says that in May it completed a full lifecycle tokenized IP bond for K-pop IP—issuance through final redemption and on-chain burn. WAVIST’s own write-up on that cycle describes $CNCRT Tranche 1 as a $1 million note backed by Korean concert cash flows, represented by 100 ERC-20 tokens on Ethereum (each mapping to $10,000 of face value), redeemed in full with tokens burned. That completed bond is the concrete precedent the new Soneium partnership leans on. Attribute size and structure to WAVIST’s documentation, not to tonight’s partnership headline alone.

What is still missing for collectors and RWA desks. The Chainwire copy does not publish a new bond size, coupon, token ticker, launch date, or Soneium contract address for the next offering. CoinLaw’s same-day read flags the same gap: until DayOneDream or Soneium posts product terms, “invest through the IP” remains a direction of travel, not a live primary market. Korean coverage (eDaily) places the public reveal at Seoul’s Raum Art Center during the WAVIST Night invite event—useful venue context, still not a prospectus.

Why this lands on the RWA desk tonight. KBW week is stacking entertainment and onchain brand moves in Seoul—BAYC’s physical Anchor Drop room on one side, a Sony-linked L2 pitching tokenized K-pop cash-flow access on the other. For readers, the utility question is narrower than the stage lights: can WAVIST repeat the May full-cycle bond on Soneium rails with disclosed terms, or does the partnership stall at event copy? Soneium protocol lead Yuji Kumagai and WAVIST RWA lead quotes in local coverage cast entertainment IP as a clear onchain RWA path; treat those as named company comments, not verified investor returns.

How to read the May bond against tonight’s headline. The redeemed $CNCRT cycle proved WAVIST could structure concert receivables, issue offshore, service cash flows, and retire tokens on-chain—but that run lived on Ethereum ERC-20 rails, not yet as a disclosed Soneium product. Moving the same pipeline onto Soneium is the operational claim of this partnership; without a new tranche memo, collectors should not assume the May mechanics auto-migrate tomorrow. WAVIST’s platform page still describes KYC’d, offering-document subscriptions rather than a public NFT mint booth.

Separately on the Watchlist clock, Bitget’s ETH withdrawal reopen remains scheduled for 08:00 UTC September 29 with no primary confirming an early flip as of this tick—so this KBW RWA print does not replace the withdrawals tracker. Robinhood Chain’s GoPlus ~$9 million second factory beat stays a deferred Rug Room candidate until a fresher primary fits the six-hour window.

Utility check: Watch for a dated WAVIST or Soneium product memo that names the next tokenized K-content offering’s size, chain, and eligibility rules—until that lands, treat tonight’s deal as partnership and venue news atop the May $1 million redeemed bond proof point, not a live subscribe button.

Bottom line: Soneium and DayOneDream’s WAVIST are pitching tokenized K-pop IP access on Soneium during KBW—backed by WAVIST’s redeemed $1 million May bond cycle—but without a new offering memo the utility is still pending, not live for every fan wallet.
