World launches World Money self-custody super app with Stripe stablecoin funding

Stablecoin Settlement is logging a September 17 consumer-rails wire: World—the identity project formerly branded around Worldcoin—said World Money is beginning to roll out in more than 150 countries as a self-custodial financial super app. The company blog frames the product as one place to add funds, hold dollar and other local-currency stablecoins, earn, trade, and move assets across borders without bouncing between separate wallets and banking apps. Features and eligibility vary by country.
The home screen centers a stablecoin balance. World says the app supports balances across eight currencies so users can get paid, hold assets in a trusted unit, and put them to work. Where available, funds can route into a unique personal virtual account powered by Bridge. Portfolio tracking, transaction history, and price alerts sit inside the same shell rather than as bolted-on third-party screenshots.
Earn deposits eligible assets, including Worldcoin (WLD) and stablecoins, into programs powered by Morpho. Trade covers buys and sells through exchanges, from real-world assets such as gold to established tokens. Mini Apps called out in the launch post include Kalshi, Credit, and Morpho—so prediction markets and credit sit beside stablecoin payments inside the same product map. Treat Mini App availability as jurisdiction-gated, not globally uniform.
The funding headline for U.S. users is Stripe inside World Money. World says Apple Pay can convert everyday money into stablecoins that typically land within minutes, with Stripe as the default add-funds rail in that redesigned flow. The post positions Stripe as part of a deepening partnership on rails moving assets in and out of World Money around the world. That is a company product claim—not a measured deposit volume table.
World ID is the trust layer. Orb-verified unique-human checks unlock boosted rewards on eligible Earn programs and put verified users first in line for new features, per the FAQ section of the same post. Existing World App or World ID App users keep credentials that carry into World Money; new users must sign up. International sends can use Worldcoin, stablecoins, or other available tokens to a World username where country rules allow.
For NFT and crypto desks, the settlement angle is retail stablecoin UX colliding with self-custody. Collectors who already buy NFTs with USDC care when Apple Pay-to-stablecoin paths shorten the hop from card balances to on-chain bids. World Money does not invent a new NFT marketplace; it concentrates payment, earn, and trade rails that can feed the same dollar inventory NFT venues consume.
Context against earlier wires: Galaxy Curation’s Kamino USDC/USDT vaults and Hyperliquid’s USDC supply lead track institutional and perp-side dollar concentration. World Money is the consumer-facing opposite—Tools for Humanity offering a regulated-looking app shell with third-party providers under their own terms. Keep issuer, venue, and app layers separate when rewriting.
Practical checklist: log the September 17 World.org announcement of World Money rolling out in 150-plus countries; note eight currencies stablecoin balances, Bridge virtual accounts where available, Morpho Earn, Stripe-plus-Apple Pay U.S. funding, and World ID reward boosts; and do not invent TVL, user counts, or fee schedules the launch post did not publish.
Source hygiene: primary text is World’s own September 17 blog. Gate and CoinEdition flashes repeat the Stripe, Kalshi, Morpho, and 150-country points without adding audited deposit figures. If World later posts regional launch calendars or restricted-asset lists, update from those primaries. Disclaimer on the post: World Money is offered by Tools for Humanity; features vary by jurisdiction.
For Stablecoin Settlement, the clean read is a same-day consumer super-app launch bundling multi-currency stablecoin balances, Morpho earn, Mini Apps, and a U.S. Stripe Apple Pay on-ramp into self-custody. NFT floors do not reprice from the press release alone—the wire updates how retail dollars may enter crypto wallets that later hit marketplace bids.
Collectors should still separate World ID marketing from marketplace custody. Self-custodial balances mean users hold keys and bear phishing, recovery, and smart-contract risk on Earn or Trade integrations. Stablecoin Settlement will not grade Morpho program yields from World’s launch copy, and it will not treat “typically within minutes” Apple Pay funding as a service-level guarantee outside World and Stripe’s published terms.
Availability caveats matter for desk accuracy. The company repeatedly states features vary by country. Writers must not claim global Kalshi access, global Bridge paycheck deposits, or universal eight-currency support for every reader. Log the product architecture; qualify the geography.
