Jack Butcher’s Credits project just put a hard clock on the next marketplace phase: Statement assembly opens October 1 at 8:00 p.m. ET, per the live rules on jack.art/credits. Holders burn 80 Credits to compose one Statement, with a hard cap of 1,526 Statements and a floor of one. That is today’s unused Marketplace Watch beat—not the original $8 X Money mint wrap (9513) and not TokenWorks’ CreditStrategy buy-and-relist pitch (9702). The primary is the project page’s Statement rules and calendar, not a recycled volume flash.

What Statement assembly actually does. Each Credit remains a complete CMYK artwork hashed from an X Money transaction ID. Burning 80 fills one Statement’s cells. The page says collectors can overprint one Statement onto another—the top Statement burns while the base keeps its format and token ID—with ink adding up, colors multiplying, and misregistration printing where it falls. From the eighth overprint on, a Statement prints on black paper permanently. Every Statement takes one of eight formats chosen at compose time—Issued, Consolidated, Assessed, Reconciled, Accrued, Amortized, Liquidated, or Recorded—and the owner can change the format later. Treat those as on-chain composition rules from Butcher’s site, not as a floor-price forecast.

Why Marketplace desks care before the burn window. Credits already traded as a secondary NFT venue product after the X Money mint; Statement assembly is the listing and supply event that can shrink the Credit float if collectors lock stacks of 80 into Statements. The 1,526 Statement ceiling is a hard venue constraint: once that supply path fills, additional burns cannot mint more Statements under the published max. Do not invent that every Credit will burn, that TokenWorks will dominate Statement mints, or that OpenSea will change fees for the event—none of that is on the project page.

Clock math for Orange County readers. October 1 at 8:00 p.m. ET is 5:00 p.m. PDT the same calendar day—about one Los Angeles business afternoon after tonight’s desk close. Until that gate opens, Credits remain tradeable artworks; after it opens, the burn-to-Statement path is a live venue mechanic with a published max. Prior 8bitcrypto chapters already logged the mint wallet count and TokenWorks’ secondary strategy; today’s unused fact is the dated assembly open plus the overprint and eight-format rule set now live on the project page.

Context against adjacent desks. Axie Origins S19’s go-live (10407) is a GameFi season clock, not an NFT burn venue. PPV2 revoke warnings (10353) remain a separate marketplace-security thread. Daily Crypto Brief draft 10376 stays untouched. Desk of the Day is already spent for Sep 30 (10355)—no DotD line on this post.

What not to invent. The project page does not publish a Statement mint price in ETH, does not guarantee secondary liquidity for Statements, and does not say Credits stop trading when assembly opens. Credit ratings and configurator tools on the same site are composition aids, not exchange listings. DigitaCoin’s earlier secondary-volume wrap is backdrop only—today’s unused chapter is the dated assembly open and the burn cap, not another 24-hour CryptoSlam reprint. Collectors still need their own custody and revoke hygiene for any marketplace approvals—Statement assembly does not retire older contract-approval risk.

Venue watch: track whether Statement mints clear on schedule after 8:00 p.m. ET October 1, whether early overprints show up in marketplace listings within the first day, and whether Credit secondary depth thins as stacks of 80 leave the float toward the 1,526 Statement ceiling.

Bottom line: Jack Butcher’s Credits Statement assembly opens October 1 at 8:00 p.m. ET—burn 80 Credits for one Statement, capped at 1,526—with overprint and eight-format rules live on the project page.
