Upland Troves Launch October 22 With 189 Collectibles and Permanent Banking

Upland is set to launch Troves on Thursday, October 22, 2026 — a collecting layer for its location-based metaverse, paired with permanent Trove Banking and a new numerical Progression System. Same-day Oct 21 wraps from CryptoGames and PlayToEarn put Phase One at 189 unique Troves, with the whole stack launching in beta for the full rollout. This is a GameFi on-chain-worlds chapter — not an OpenSea marketplace fee change.
Troves tie map activity to collectibles: properties, structures, Block Explorers, vehicles, plants, neighborhoods, and service structures can produce them. Five categories at launch framing — Care, Resource, Social, Utility, and Valuables (some Valuables tradeable). Most Troves are account-bound. Genesis Week Troves wipe at launch except Genome Troves. Trove Banking commits items to a Trove Vault permanently (“cannot be withdrawn or used elsewhere”); tiers run Bronze through Diamond+, with only Bronze and Silver open at day one. Progression adds a profile level tracking Troves collected/banked, property development, and milestones — alongside existing status ranks (Uplander, Pro, Executive, Director), not replacing them. Milestone payouts can include Map Assets, UPX, and collectibles; beta rewards may change.
What is not day-one: crafting recipes, higher banking tiers, competitions (details TBD), farming at scale, or Uppie automation for Trove collection. Recipes (e.g., Wheat + Milk → Bread at a Bakery) and bulk recipes are promised in later weeks. On Oct 15 Upland added STEM Foundry, UPX Mint, and Sparklet Refinery store structures ($9.99 first 24h / $14.99 after) to exchange Troves for currencies once live. Optional Troves After Dark 2026 commemorative sale runs October 21–25 ($20 bundles: 20,000 UPX + Block Explorer with 150 stamina; six designs × 70 mints) — optional, not required to play Troves. Context: Troves alpha during Genesis Week 2026; original pre-Oct 1 Harvest target slipped; Upland cites 3M+ users and NFT registration at Uplander status.
For NFT and marketplace desks, the useful cut is metaverse collectible banking versus open secondary floors: most Troves are account-bound, banking is irreversible, and only some Valuables are framed as tradeable — do not treat Phase One as a new OpenSea volume meta. Property NFTs (post-Uplander registration) remain the ownership core; Troves are a gameplay progression layer on top.
Prior Cambria Duel Arena LN stays a separate GameFi claims chapter; today’s beat is Upland’s Oct 22 Troves beta with 189 Phase One items plus permanent banking. Do not conflate the optional After Dark Explorer sale with a paywall to collect Troves.
Worlds watch: Watch whether Oct 22 beta actually lights collecting/banking/progression without major rollback, when the first recipes and Gold+ banking tiers ship, and whether tradeable Valuables show real secondary markets — the desk cares about live systems and tradable inventory, not the Harvest Season slogan alone.
Bottom line: Upland’s Troves beta hits October 22 with 189 Phase One collectibles, permanent Trove Banking, and a new progression level — recipes and higher tiers come later; the After Dark sale is optional.
